General Overview Of The Position:

Arralis is a rapidly scaling technology company, providing world leading expertise in RF, micro and millimeter-wave technology. Our head office is in Swindon, England and we opened the USA facility located in Daytona Beach, FL in August of 2019.

Arralis excels in packaged component modules, proprietary antenna technology and integrated radar and communications front-end platforms.

Our core focus includes E and W bands where we can take advantage of their highly desirable attenuation windows, allowing the development of very high-resolution radar and antennas; applications for which include autonomous vehicles, satellite communications, helicopter landing, space science and military defence. We also focus on the emerging K/Ka band satellite communication frequency giving very high data rates from satellite to ground and inter satellite links.

General Overview of the position:

Arralis have opened a Design and Development facility in Daytona Beach, Florida. We are actively seeking an RF Engineer/Technician with 3 plus years’ experience to work and support our RF Design function. Working very closely with Design Engineers to develop and deliver a range of RF, MMW devices, sub systems and systems. As a self-starter you will be able to work on your own initiative with limited supervision.


As a Design Engineer you will be involved in;

  • Full hardware lifecycle for customers’ products: from system concept, through detailed design and prototyping, test and verification, system integration and support in production.
  • Creating high quality and robust designs, for fully documenting and recording your work products, keeping them under configuration management and providing plans and progress reports.
  • Providing technical support to MMIC foundries and interface with engineering functions through manufacture, development and production test verification.
  • Working closely with Systems, Test and Electronics Engineers you will be solving real integration problems on complex systems.
  • Dependent on experience, supervision of a small team, taking responsibility for planning and managing the workload for both you and the team, ensuring robust engineering solutions are in place.
  • Documenting various aspects of the projects at different stages.
  • Understanding of project plans and help the relevant manager to implement it.

Required Skills:

  • Experience working in a similar electronics role at a similar level.
  • First or second Degree in Electronic Engineering (BSc, BEng, MEng, MSc, PhD, EngD) or a related science with specialization in RF/Microwave circuit design and test. This will ideally include S-parameter manipulation; EM simulation; non-linear circuit simulation and modelling, matching network design and microwave component selection.
  • Expert knowledge in one or more of AWR Microwave office, CST Microwave studio, Agilent ADS, or AWR Visual System Simulator would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge and practical design experience of some of the following; MMIC HPA; LNA, Synthesisers and phase shifter design techniques; microwave test including advanced calibration, de-embedding techniques and RFoW; GaAs/GaN MMIC or SiGe RFIC foundry technologies; familiarity.


  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. (RF module or project experience a bonus).
  • 3+ years post qualification experience in an electronics R&D laboratory or electronics manufacturing environment. (RF product experience a bonus).
  • Masters in Electrical Engineering preferred.
